Tissue Paper Pom Poms, we can’t get enough of these delightful decorations. These beautiful flowers are fun and easy to make, Kids will love joining in too. Make them for parties in a range of colour schemes.

You can choose to make large fluffy pom poms with several sheets of tissue paper (we used nine sheets) or make smaller tissue pom pom decorations by using less sheets of tissue paper (try four sheets for little decorations).

The longer the sheets of tissue paper you use, the wider your pom poms flowers will be so experiment with different sizes. You can also make multi coloured pom poms flowers by using several different colours of tissue paper sheets together.

Step 1:

Lay out nine tissue paper sheets on top of each and fold one end over to make an inch wide fold.

Step 2:

Turn the whole sheets over and fold another inch pleat. Continue this accordion-style folding until you have folded the whole sheet up.

Step 3:

Round off the corners with a pair of scissors.

Step 4:

Find the centre and tie your ribbon or string around the middle and remember to leave a length to hang your pom pom flower from.

Step 5:

Go very gentle with this step, you may need an extra pair of hands to help you.

Gently and carefully start to peel apart the layers of tissue and fluff up as you go. Keep going until all the layers are separated and there you have it. You’ll have beautiful tissue paper pom pom flowers decorations for decorating your party.
