Carefully push the pointed tip of a pencil into a Styrofoam ball. Remove the pencil, glue the blunt end and push it firmly into the hole you’ve just made.
Paint the ball and leave it to dry. You may need to apply a couple of coats to give it a good cover.
Snip a pipe cleaner in half. Thread one half with beads. Bend one end of the pipe cleaner over so you don’t have a sharp point.
Push the other end of the pipe cleaner into the top of the ball and secure with a spot of glue. Wind the remaining half around the top of the pencil.
Glue two feathers on the front of the ball. Glue googly eyes on the base of the feathers then add a pom-pom nose and a bead for the mouth.
